National Seminar on ‘National Integrity Strategy (NIS) and Role of NGOs’
ADAB organized a national seminar on ‘National Integrity Strategy (NIS) and Role of NGOs’ at CBCB auditorium, Mohammadpur, Dhaka on 20 December 2014. Senior Secretary of the Prime Minister’s office Mr. Abul Kalam Azad graced the seminar as chief guest. DG NGOAB Mr. Md. Nurun Nabi Talukder was also present on the occasion as special guest. ADAB Chairperson Ms. Rokeya Kabir, chaired the seminar. AKM Jashim Uddin, Director, ADAB presented the National Integrity Strategy (NIS) through multimedia projector. Ms. Majeda Shawkat Ali, Vice Chairperson, ADAB and Executive Director of NUSA and Ms. Shaheen Akter Dolly, EC Member, ADAB and Executive Director, Nari Maitree also spoke on the seminar.

After the presentation a long open discussion session has also been held. The participants exchanged their views, opinion and recommendations as well. The chief guest of the seminar Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, senior secretary of Prime Minister’s office highly appreciated the initiative of ADAB to organize such seminar. He suggested to send the written recommendation of the seminar to his office so that he can convey the recommendation to the proper authority.

More than 200 NGO leaders from all district of Bangladesh participated in the seminar. The initiative of ADAB was highly appreciated by the participants and they proposed to arrange the same seminar at District & Upazila level also.
